Mike…I have been trying to find a solution to this same problem. FeedBlitz’s current beta programs allows you to customize the look-and-feel of the email – I am sure if you touch base with them, they will give bring you into the program.

Also, based on a question I asked them, they stated that they were going to expand options to allow more (and less) frequent emails.

Once they do this stuff, I am sure it will be the solution you have described or at least very close to it. Drop me a line if you have any questions.

David, Thanks, but I really want something with significantly more flexibility. For instance, I’d like the user option to get a daily or just a weekly email that contains the post, not just a link to the post.

I’m just going to take a shot and say it is a wordpress blog and if that is the case this site will be of help

Why not just use a blogging system that has all the functions built in…blogging, comments, rss, email lists, forums, gallery, etc.

Hi, if think http://www.feedblitz.com/ is a possible service fot his issue.
May be is better if you uses feedbruner because works togheter in the Puiblize section of feedburner.

I forgot to mention, all you really need to use rssfwd is to add the code on the rssfwd publishers page to your site. It's really easy. Add the form and your readers will never even see the rssfwd website. http://wws.rssfwd.com/rssfwd/publishers
