I met the founder, Ted Rheingold, at the Slide party in San Francisco a few weeks ago and heard the story of dogster - amazing. I agree there are some additional features that could make the site more "web 2.0ish", but it is a profitable company with a ton of passionate users. Macho looks like quite the ferocious little guy.
