More Tagging Madness

bmindful is a tagging site for affirmations (positive thoughts). It needs an RSS feed for each tag. :-)

I love people’s enthusiasm, but what in the world are they doing putting their heart and soul into building sites like these? Maybe someone should build a platform to allow people to build tagging applications quickly and easily (and get it out of their system).

  • Yeah. Plus there font colors are so attrocious I cannot read half the page.

  • Regarding getting it out of their system – I agree 1000%. I’ve been meaning to blog about if for a while. Tags can be useful, but getting everything tagged all of a sudden is ridiculous.
As for platform for tagging apps – there already is one on SF.

  • I pray that this is a $500 Rent-a-coder special.

I can see the value in being able to find affirmations for particular topics, but is there any reason that this is done via tagging rather than some kind of submission and voting system?

This seems like another case of everything looking like a nail to a man with a hammer.

That being said, I hope that I see more sites like this–simple, cheap (hopefully), quickly built services that can serve micro-niches. I just don’t see million-dollar businesses being built out of them.

  • Thank you for that find – it is badly needed in our negative obsessed society –

..there should ALWAYS be an option for those who need to opt-out of unpleasantness for howerver period of time – to regain sanity. :-)
