Adam Weinroth tipped me off to this discussion regarding the possibility of insurance to cover losses in connection with an RIAA lawsuit for copyright infringement. Given that I run an open Wifi network and lots of people stay at my house, doing who-knows-what with my bandwidth, this is something I’d sign up for immediately.

It is a good idea and all but it shouldn’t be needed. It is ridiculous what the RIAA does in bullying people who can’t afford to fight the lawsuits.
Hey Just a second: Are they officialy offering an insurance in case you comit a crime? Because basicly, what RIAA goes after is a crime. We may not like it, but what’s next? Insurance policy against driving too fast? Think about it…
