The next time you (assuming you are American) find that you are trying to figure out what the heck your friend from Australia, Canada, Ireland or England is actually saying, check out this site to get the answer. You’ve no idea how much it irritates people from Scotland (or for that matter Wales and Northern Ireland) when Americans ask them if they are from ‘England’ when what they mean is ‘Britain’.

I am fro N.Ireland, and I find that some Americans hard to understand…
Expecially those from Seattle.
And WillS, it’s all true *cry*. It is so annoying when I say I am from the UK, ppl instantly say “oh, England.” Also it is common for ppl to think that Northern Ireland is part of Ireland, and they are like “so what is Ireland like”…. But I have grown used to it
