Weblogswork has posted a wiki with the 43 best blogs. I like the list because it is editable by anyone (it’s a wiki).
Welcome to the 43 Best Blogs Wiki. The following 43 blogs are simply the best. Other ‘best of’ blog lists offer 50 or even 100 ‘best’ blogs, but after painstaking research we have deteremined that there are really only 43 decent blogs at any one time.
Feel free to edit, add, remove or reorder any blog listed on this site.
How do we know that we have the right 43 blogs listed at any one time? Easy, you are the “we” at 43 Best. We are you. You spin me right round. Other lists depend on the work of one or two individuals. See your blog on the list? Grab the 43 Best Blog badge and put it on your site. Congratulations to the winners!
Lots of other best of lists there as well.
Add your blog!

it’s not quite a wiki – you need to wait for them to approve the urls.
So how did TechCrunch not make the list? And how is Malcolm Gladwell’s blog already at top 43 blog…I think he is great writer but he just started blogging last week! I am glad it is a wiki – since it could use a few adjustments.
This is funny – I think a perfect showcase of what you can NOT achieve using a wiki. Just look at the history of changes. A digg-like voting system would mean something, but when anyone can change it anytime, all you get is a random snapshot. I could have my 5 minutes of fame by putting myself on line#1
That is a very good point Zoli. It will be “Your Name In Lights” central…what a mess! :0
Well I guess it’s just a prank to get attention…
Frank – you can approve the URLs – just click approve.
Zoli – actually it is a perfect showcase of how useful ‘best of blogs’ lists are. My favorite is the 43 Best Prsidents list:

Well, I’d like to see No. 44 on that President list:-)
This is true Zoli and sticking with the numbers theme, number 44 is a number that has been worn by some great athletes like baseball legend Hank Aaron and basketball star Jerry West. Michael Jordan wore number 45 for a short time, while flame throwing pitcher, Pedro Martinez, still wears it today. Though these numbers I have mentioned do have some meaning, to someone, somewhere, I guess 43 is as good a number as any to cap the top blog list. Not to mention the two digits add up to 7 which was worn by New York Yankee great Mickey Mantle.
It seems like a cool idea at first, but I just took a look and it’s been screwed up by some idiot that wanted to add only his link and managed to bungle the code while he was doing it.
