Steve Gillmor just pointed this out on the Gillmor Gang (recording now, up later): The New York Times is linking to Dave Winer’s blog at the end of an New York Times op-ed piece written by Esther Dyson.
As far as I know this is the first time that the NYT has added related blog links below a story.
This is an interesting development, and timely given Murdoch’s recent statements about the future of traditional media.
Since the blogosphere is getting so popular, it would be neat if any of the bigger papers like the NYT reviewed a blog every week showing it’s readers a lesser known blog
And ofcourse, Dave Winer is sooo popular, that was expected.

We have offered a sampling of blog posts regarding articles on NYTimes.com going back to the fall of 2005. They have included posts on the Judy Miller coverage, the indictment of Scooter Libby as well as other stories.
. I like the directions the Times is going – and I also note that they are now experimenting with linking to blog posts directly from articles. Some of the changes and new features you’ll see are a refreshed look
