Snap.com relaunched, and paid for a ton of advertising on TechCrunch through our ad partner, FM Publishing.
Here’s what I don’t get: why didn’t they contact me and other bloggers about the launch to tell us about it? I certainly would have written, sending them a lot more traffic than will click on those ads. And it would have been free.
Snap, I appreciate the advertising. But next time, just pick up a phone.

It’s Idealab. They don’t get it, Mike.
I guess this helps keep the focus on Green.
Sorry, Michael! You are one of the reasons we worked through FM Media. In the busy-ness of the launch there was a mix up as to who was going to contact you. Pretty lame on our part and ultimately me. Thanks for still posting on Snap. What do you think of the Snap’s visual-style search experience?
Tom: You have some pretty nifty tools for users there (you blow Ask.com’s site preview pic out of the water). But it’s hard to evaluate your search algorithm right now with such a small index. Hopefully that grows quickly.
One critique: The results take too long to load. And without even a loading graphic, casual users might get frustrated and give up before giving you a chance.
I’ve started a discussion over on SitePoint.com about it that is getting a fair amount of chatter.
like google notes?
