[...] Michael Arrington has certainly posted his side of things, and so I thought it would be fitting to allow Mr. Lutz to give his. I hope it serves as a bit of an epilogue to the fuss going on late in the week. To Michael Arrington’s credit, he certainly resolved this in a professional and congenial fashion.
[...] To everyone’s relief, (and Michael Arrington’s credit) however, it was resolved collegially with the exchange of a few emails and a couple phone calls — and without the threat of cease and desist letters. Mr. Arrington did a great deal of work to describe in a blow-by-blow fashion all of the gory details at Crunchnotes on Friday. [...]

[...] I’m feeling a little dumber after reading Michael Arrington’s chronological breakdown of what happened with Techcrush site not flying under the Crunch network of sites. Arrington explains: check out the site, note that the name and logo appear very close to techcrunch, and that the content looks very similar to techcrunch. I call my lawyer and say “I love this blog…but do we have a trademark issue?” He says “yes, a big one. when people do this, if you don’t try to stop it, you lose the right to try to stop others in the future.” [...]

I couldn't agree more. Everything is just fine. I followed-up on a lot of conversations yesterday, to shed a proper light on the matter. And I mailed Valleywag that there was in fact NO C&D-letter.
I'm glad and hope, we can all return to our daily duties now.

Thanks Michael, please keep up your good work,
Lutz, Techcrush.

Mike, i think you reacted right and that as usual unless people get into the real stuff they will probably claim any nonsense. You were right to establish contact with the guys at TechCrush first. You are also right to protect your trademark. Let s hope this cools down soon.
