Stuff like this is why I still read Dave Winer, even though he pisses me off almost daily. The comment discussion is excellent. I just learned a lot. Hardcore geeky shit that I am not qualified to participate in.

You know what pisses me off? Tht you think you’re not qualified to participate. All this stuff is done for you.
How do you feel about lawyers who tell their clients not to worry — they’ll take care of everything, you’re not qualified to understand this stuff, even though it effects your life.
As far as pissing you off, like other people who have had your temper directed at them recently, I’ve leanred your bark is worse than your bite.
Have a nice day.
No, don’t get me wrong Dave. I’ve bookmarked the thread and will certainly incorporate it into a future post, without attribution, making me look like an expert.
Dave Winer’s Law of the West Coast –
“Silicon Valley is made up of little boys pulling their puds, constantly making love to each other, pretending the world revolves around them.”
Davak’s Corollary on Dave Winer’s Law —
“A-List Bloggers are made up of little boys pulling each others’ hair, constantly in a linkbait circle-jerk, keeping the world revolving around them.”
(Please forgive my butchering mutation of Dave’s poetry.)
Hey, Dave. Editors are important, too. Like knowing the difference between “affects” and “effects,” for example.
Dave doesnt know what hes talking about, JSON does not have any of the cross browser issues that XML has when coding in JavaScript which is widely used by most of the web2 companies mentioned in this blog.
I have no idea why someone like Dave would actually waste some of his time talking about something, he has never used, and doesnt seem to understand why others use it.
As stuff evolves, different stuff comes spinning off it. Some of this is good, some bad, its called natural selection. the same can be said for programming methods.
So Dave, try and write something of worth in your blog, and mike, how does his post have anything to do with the content of your blog? both of you, should stick to what your good at. (Not sure what that is in Daves case.)
Yes. Shut up and stay in your box.
Moron.
That was sarcasm, by the way. Forgot the
Unfortunatley, AjAX is not a reliable technology yet.
Nothing on the web is 100% reliable. You do the best you can and design things so that nothing really bad happens when things break.
I didn’t realize someone would get so mad at a great little data compression-like tool such as JSON. I intend to use it on future projects that require Javascipt, as parsing HTML-like content (aka XML) isn’t exactly the most fun thing in the world.
