I didn't realize someone would get so mad at a great little data compression-like tool such as JSON. I intend to use it on future projects that require Javascipt, as parsing HTML-like content (aka XML) isn't exactly the most fun thing in the world.

Nothing on the web is 100% reliable. You do the best you can and design things so that nothing really bad happens when things break.

Dave doesnt know what hes talking about, JSON does not have any of the cross browser issues that XML has when coding in JavaScript which is widely used by most of the web2 companies mentioned in this blog.

I have no idea why someone like Dave would actually waste some of his time talking about something, he has never used, and doesnt seem to understand why others use it.

As stuff evolves, different stuff comes spinning off it. Some of this is good, some bad, its called natural selection. the same can be said for programming methods.

So Dave, try and write something of worth in your blog, and mike, how does his post have anything to do with the content of your blog? both of you, should stick to what your good at. (Not sure what that is in Daves case.)
