Thanks, Forbes

Hey Forbes, thanks very much for including me (and my dad) in your first annual “Web Celeb 25” list. As Calacanis, who’s also on the list, said, I didn’t know anything about this until it was forwarded to me today. I can think of at least 100 people who are more deserving, mostly entrepreneurs who’ve given up a steady income to pursue their dreams. Hopefully they’ll be recognized financially if not by being placed on a list.

I hope they paid you for using that photo.

Congrats Michael
Hope your keeping your eye our for entrepreneur in residence jobs :-)

Interesting that the Getty photographers get credited (and I assume paid) but that the web photographers don’t.

Just read this post after being linked by Scobleizer - (Robert Scobles Blog), he was also quite humble suggesting people like

Tim Berners-Lee or Dave Winer or Tim Bray (the first Tim invented the Web, Dave invented RSS/OPML/XML-RPC, Tim Bray co-invented XML)

be included.

But Forbes has gone way to far with the advertising on their site.

As I recall, that picture was taken with my camera. Will I be receiving a royalty payment soon?
