[...] 10. The immensely popular and likable Robert Scoble of Scobleizer.com created an avalanche when he lashed out against big gadget sites (like Engadget and Gizmodo) for not linking to other blogs. The response was overwhelming. Michael Arrington of Techcrunch wrote a sympathetic post entitled, Wow, Scoble Just Threw Himself Under a Bus. To his credit, Scoble’s post did force large gadget sites to come forward and open an active dialogue about link stinginess. [...]

[...] How does a successful local paper go about educating it’s online writers (assuming it’s not just a technical brief)? Are the lessons generic enough to impart upon others in the community? Is there some sort of code of conduct that is encouraged? What about linking etiquette? Are there editorial guidelines that transfer over from print, or even online? [...]

Well he did ask. He was trying to make a point that you can't easily describe something visually, and it is often better to watch a video - ignoring my point that video restricts the number of places you can view it by .. well requiring a screen. I'd accuse him of instigating a blog-o-riot in order to increase page hits - but that'd be crass of me, so I won't.
