Something tells me the really good stuff in technology is yet to come. Once they have a fully emulated human brain we can debate endlessly on whether it is self aware or not.
If the emulated human brain isn’t self aware, then it isn’t fully emulated, is it? I’m ok with a “partial” emulation as once it becomes self aware, all I can think of is The Terminator…
And so we can start the “nature versus nurture” debate with a proper control sample that we can reset to zero whenever the experiment gets out of hand???

Why debate .. it can tell us itself
Once they’ve emulated a human brain they won’t be able to shut it off because it would be murder.
And so we can start the “nature versus nurture” debate with a proper control sample that we can reset to zero whenever the experiment gets out of hand???
