Big Hand For Marc Andreessen
by Mike on November 9, 2007

Marc Andreessen has donated $27.5 million to Stanford Hospital. He talks about why, and how the money will be spent, on his blog. Very nice. As a local resident, I thank you, Marc. Should I ever find myself in the emergency room after an attack from an angry entrepreneur who didn’t get the TechCrunch post he or she felt they deserved, I’ll be thanking you again.

Marc’s appreciation for the staff of the Stanford ER is fully justified. His and Laura’s gift will make a profound difference to this community, yet there remains much room for others to step up and get personally involved. I am at the Stanford Office of Medical Development and would be very glad to share more about the plans and vision of the Stanford Emergency medicine team with anyone who is interested. Thanks. — elliot.klein@stanford.edu
